Parent Resources

  • My Body Belongs to Me bu Jill Starishevsky is a great resource to open discussion with children about molestation. This book uses child-friendly language to discuss inappropriate touching, empowering children to feel in charge of their own bodies, and giving children the tools to talk to safe adults. This book makes it easy for parents to give children the resources and language they need to be safe. Starishevsky also provides great discussion points and child abuse resources in the appendix. • www.at-risk.org gives an overview and great articles about different circumstances surrounding "at risk" youth.
