I have to admit, I have no idea what Easter is. But I have noticed that at Easter time there is a lot of sugar and carrots. One time my humans hid a bunch of Easter eggs and carrots around the farm. Then a group of kids came and had to find them all. The eggs were filled with candy for the humans, and the carrots were for us! It was so nice to see all of the little humans running around, getting excited about what they were finding, and then sharing with us and with each other. One little human, who ran as fast as a horse, noticed that another little human did not run at all and he shared his Easter eggs with the slower human. I thought this was very nice of the fast human.
I’ve also noticed that there are a lot of pictures of rabbits with carrots this time of year. I, personally, think it would make more sense to have pictures of horses with carrots because we could carry the basket and we can eat a lot more carrots than a rabbit. But the rabbits are cute. We see them around here sometimes and they like the same things we like. Not only carrots, but other fruit, grass, hay (especially clover, which is a favorite of ours, too), and they run really fast just like a horse.
So even though as a horse I am never sure what a holiday is, I do like that we use holidays like Easter to pay attention to what we have in common with each other. Happy Easter everyone. Go eat a carrot!
