At this point nearly everyone has heard of equine therapy. There are many different certifications on how to provide everything from therapeutic horseback riding to learning from horses on the ground. It can be hard to know where to start. This workshop will focus on the fundamentals of providing Eagala Model Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.
Eagala sessions use a team approach with horses, activities on the ground, and a solution focused mindset to provide mental health treatment. We will be providing a review of some of the foundational skillsets to support powerful, transformational equine assisted psychotherapy sessions. We will be hands-on with horses, experience practice, and get the basic information on the framework of the Eagala model.
All experience levels are welcome. This workshop is perfect for those just discovering equine assisted therapies and professionals looking to grow their skills and practices.
Please dress to be outside and around horses. Close toed shoes are required.
